Apartamento is an everyday life interiors bi-annual magazine written in English. A place in print for people, not just objects.
“Apartamento is the interiors magazine post-materialists have been waiting for” —The Moment, The New York Times.
On the cover is Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, the American graphic designer who moved to Switzerland in the ‘50s after the death of her husband, studied in Basel, then returned to San Francisco in the ‘60s to practise the antithesis of what the city was all about. Along the way she invented supergraphics, famously turning the interiors of a Northern California utopian estate into inhabitable art.
